In a simple and innovative way, the French designer Marco Lavit, Lavit Atelier, embodied the infinity sign " ∞ " in three dimensions of an elegant Lemni armchair. The chair is produced by the Italian design company Living Divani. The company will present its new product at the SuperSalone fair in Milan, September 5-10, 2021.
It would seem almost impossible to come up with a new chair design, but Marco Lavit succeeded in this task. The presented structure consists only of one element: the repeated semicircles of steel pipe.
The four such semicircles are connected at 90 degrees angles, changing the elements' direction. The result is one of the lightest armchairs in modern design. It creates an illusion of the three-dimensional infinity sign.
The graphic image of the allegory of geometry became the main idea that guided the designer from the beginning of the project.
