Like a magician French designer Pierre Cabrera created design lamp Tulip. It seems like it takes him just a second to fold a sheet of paper and make a lamp. In fact the first lamp’s prototype was really made out of paper to test whether it keeps the balance. Then the lamp was made of acrylic stone HI-MACS®.
Pierre Cabrera has a rich imagination and an inexplicable logic of abstract mind, because it associates the lamp with a tulip flower, which is hardly similar to Tulip lamp’s shape.
In understanding of French designer, the lamp obtained beauty and grace of tulip flower, the symbol of sincere and powerful love. The meaning of the word "tulip" is from Ottoman Turkish and means a muslin textile or and a turban. The latter is more suitable to the principle of the lamp’s form in terms of vast abstraction.
Pierre Cabrera was inspired by diverse poetics of the tulip and invented the lamp, shining indirect, gentle, soft light and creating cosy atmosphere. This flower of light evokes positive emotions, it’s made using high technology and flexible qualities of acrylic stone HI-MACS®.
Each lamp is designed by a laser and comes in different sizes: Tulip20, Tulip30, Tulip40, Tulip50 and Tulip60 for large spaces.
Combining creativity, craftsmanship and innovative materials, Tulip incorporates the latest generation of Beneito & Faure LEDs for the Tulip20, Tulip30 and Tulip40 models. The last two models can also be used as wall lamps. The Tulip50 and Tulip60 models also feature a connected high-tech lighting system and a Bluetooth gesture-controlled switch/dimmer, which can be controlled by smartphone and tablet to create mood lighting.
