The giant blue eye has become one of the iconic interior items of the new luxury Grand Portals Nous hotel, designed by the famous Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. Located in the glorious Majorca Island of Spain, the elegant hotel's interior design uses various symbols to emphasize the majestic beauty of this luxury retreat.
One of these symbols, a luminous blue eye can be found on the back of the washbasin mirror in the interiors of all 75 rooms of the Grand Portals Nous Hotel, decorated mainly in light colors with individual expressive elements. The eye plays both a decorative screen and a recognizable symbol-signature of the famous designer.
Marcel Wanders chose the white color palette of the walls as the dominant one in the rooms' interiors to achieve decorative contrasts that fascinate the imagination. Colored carpets with an expressive pattern, candelabra, candlesticks, and consoles with graphic openwork silhouettes look like exquisite art objects on a white background.
In the interior design of Grand Portals Nous, Marcel Wanders combined minimalism with expressive interior items and decorative elements.
The symbols of Marcel Wanders' design at the Grand Portals Nous Hotel include sculptures stylized as trees that adorn the spa area, and decorative surfaces with giant flowers on the wall of the waterfall, pool, and spa.
